NEWARK, NJ - Coaches and student-athletes from the NJIT men's soccer team volunteered their time on April 13 to assist "New Eyes for the Needy", a charitable organization that purchases new prescription glasses for poor people in the United States and recycles glasses for distribution to indigent people overseas.

The activity is the latest in a series of community service activities undertaken by NJIT's student-athletes in general and by the Highlanders men's soccer team in particular.
