Montalvo Top Finisher for NJIT at 99th IC4A/23rd ECAC Cross Country Championships

Men's Results

BRONX, NY - Freshman Stefan Montalvo was the top finisher for New Jersey Institute of Technology in the season-ending IC4A University Division 5-mile race at the 99th IC4A/23rd ECAC Cross Country Championships held at Van Cortlandt Park.

Montalvo, finished 147th covering the course in 29:06 as the Highlanders participated in its third IC4A/23rd ECAC race.

As a team, the Highlanders placed 23rd ahead of Saint Peter's and Mercy.

Brad Leonhardt placed 188th with a time of 30:41 while teammate Babatunde Busari placed 191st. Jamil Wilkins crossed the line at 30:53 for 195th place.

Peter Klabe ran a personal best, finishing 198th with a time of 31:40 while Michael Genauer finished six seconds behind.

Twenty-five complete teams ran in the race, with University of New Hampshire winning the team competition and Ricardo Estremera of University at Albany was the top individual, at 25:35.
